1,320 children across 19 schools took part in the latest Moki Inter-School Challenge, tracking an incredible 26.2 million steps in one week between them.
The challenge brought schools together in a fun, friendly way β encouraging children to be more active and more aware of their own movement each day.
We're thrilled to announce the winners of the latest Moki Inter-School Challenge β congratulations to Westcliff Primary Academy for stepping to the top of the leaderboard! π
PE lead Jamie Nay shares how Westcliff has embraced Moki across the school:
"We place a huge emphasis on PE and sport, encouraging our children to be as active as possible throughout the school day. The Moki Bands have been fantastic β super easy to set up and use, and theyβve undoubtedly helped to boost physical activity."
"We run class and individual competitions, and the kids love taking part in Mokiβs national challenges. They even try to beat the teachers! The friendly rivalry adds excitement, and most importantly, gets everyone moving."
"I wish I had something like this in school. Itβs helping our children understand their own fitness and the benefits of being active every day."
π A huge well done to all the schools who took part β and especially to every child who contributed steps. This is what building a culture of movement in schools looks like.
