Data Protection
A Moki band contains an accelerometer that records the unique movements or 'steps' of the individual wearing it. Whilst the account owner is able to record and review a specific child's data locally, no personally identifiable information is transmitted to Moki servers. The Moki app can deliver maximum value without the need to enter any personal data entry if preferred.
Adopting a 'Privacy by Design' approach from day one of the Moki concept means that fundamental data privacy principles are built into all areas of the Moki solution.
Moki has been developed to ensure GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) data protection principles and standards have been paramount throughout design and implementation.
This includes the Moki application, data on-boarding, data transmission, data retention schedules and wider business practices to ensure that data protection and Privacy is embedded throughout the business.
We have undertaken a Data Privacy Impact Assessment (DPIA) to help us identify and minimise any data protection issues and are happy to discuss this with our customers and partners. Users of Moki are not required to take any specific action to protect their privacy.
We adopt a plain language policy for any public facing documents so that individuals are able to understand easily what we are doing with their personal data.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner - Registration No: ZA439656
