Why Moki?

Most schools don't have a consistent picture of how pupils move during the day. Moki changes that. Through whole-school activity data, team challenges, and the Moki League, it makes movement visible, celebrated, and part of everyday school life.

At the centre is Mo - your school's intelligence layer. Mo turns activity data into clear insights, highlights engagement trends, and helps identify pupils or groups who may need support. It gives staff a clearer view of what's happening across the school day so they can act with confidence.

FAQs

Can we use our PE & Sport Premium funding to buy Moki?

Yes – if you’re a primary school in England, your PE & Sport Premium can be used to support Moki.

Moki helps schools increase daily movement, strengthen engagement in PE and across the school day, and give staff clear insight into participation and activity levels. It also supports whole-school challenges and competitions that raise the profile of physical activity.

In short, it supports all three PE & Sport Premium priorities: increasing activity, improving engagement, and demonstrating impact.

Why should kids move more in school? 😊🧠

Because movement directly supports focus, behaviour, and wellbeing.

When pupils move more during the school day, they’re more focused in lessons, more regulated emotionally, and more engaged overall. Many schools are still highly sedentary, and even small increases in daily movement can have a measurable impact on classroom behaviour and attention.

Moki helps make that movement consistent, visible, and part of the school culture.

Won't this just marginalise less 'sporty' kids?

No – in fact, it often does the opposite.

Moki is designed to be inclusive and non-competitive at an individual level unless you choose it to be. Teachers can control how progress is shared, including grouping pupils or focusing on class and team outcomes instead of individuals.

Many schools find that less active pupils benefit most, because they’re included in shared goals, visible progress, and positive reinforcement rather than being left out of traditional sport-based activity.

Isn't this just another pedometer?

No – pedometers measure activity. Moki helps schools understand and improve it.

Moki combines simple wearable technology with a school-wide intelligence system, allowing staff to see patterns of movement, engagement, and participation across classes, year groups, and the whole school.

It’s designed not just to track activity, but to help schools build a more active culture and take meaningful action based on real data.

How do Moki Bands and the app work exactly?

Moki is designed to be simple to use in schools.

Lightweight bands capture movement throughout the day and store activity data. Teachers can then sync the data using the Moki Reader, with no need for charging or complex setup.

All data is then visualised in the Moki platform, where Mo turns it into clear insights, and schools can run challenges, view trends, and build engagement across classes and year groups.

Do we need to buy a Moki Band for every child?

While one band per child gives the most detailed data, it’s not required.

Moki is designed to be flexible for school budgets. Bands can be shared across classes and year groups, allowing schools to build a clear picture of activity levels without needing a 1:1 device model.

We recommend starting with at least one Class Pack to get full visibility across rotation.

Can we trial Moki before buying?

We don't offer a free trial of Moki Bands but every order comes with a 30 day money back guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with Moki Bands, no problem—just send them back within 30 days of delivery, and we’ll give you a full refund. Simple as that!

OK, so we buy them. What happens when they lose their shine?

There’s a lot you can do to keep Moki engaging long after the initial excitement.

Use your school data to set meaningful class and group goals, celebrate progress, and build ongoing motivation. Create challenges in the Moki app to keep movement fresh, whether that’s weekly class targets or whole-school milestones.

You can also take part in Moki League competitions against other schools around the world, or join global challenges designed to keep things interesting across the year.

For added variety, use Mo to bring movement into lessons and help shape activity across the school day, or focus on class and team-based progress to keep participation inclusive and consistent.

And if you ever need support, our Moki team can help you get more from your data and build new ways to keep pupils moving.

Let's talk money 💷. What's the ongoing cost?

The great news is there’s no subscription for using Moki Bands - once you’ve got them, you’re all set! The only ongoing cost is replacing the batteries, which are affordable little CR2032 coin cell batteries. They’re easy to find and simple to swap out when needed (every 4-6 months).

So, no hidden fees, no extra charges, just endless fun, movement, and data-driven insights to keep your school active and engaged!

Do you ship Moki everywhere 🌍?

Yes, we do! Moki can be shipped to schools and organizations anywhere in the world.

Wherever you are, we’ll make sure your Moki Bands get to you quickly and reliably, so you can start using them to keep your students moving and motivated.
